First time in a while I’ve done a reasonable distance. And 7k in just under 40 mins isn’t too bad, with an average of 5:31/km.

The ‘WannaCry’ ransomware is a stark reminder of a broken system
Why? Just why are you running Windows XP in an MRI scanner? Knowing full well the problems it has….

WCry is so mean Microsoft issues patch for 3 unsupported Windows versions | Ars Technica
Microsoft patching systems as far back as XP? WannaCry is BIG, and the problem is…. there’s going to be systems out there still not patched due to laziness or no internet connection and are vulnerable.
Seen a couple of XP boxes around — some self-service tills, ATMs, and payphones all use XP…
Decommissioned for years, Windows XP, 8, and Server 2003 get emergency update.

‘The Sims’ is finally coming to your iPhone and Android phones
The Sims – as in the PROPER Sims being made for Android/iOS? Definitely going to look at this, but I bet it’s going to be online only which is pointless when your main commute is Underground.

Your Android Phone Has a Built-In Childproofing Feature
VERY useful feature to stop accidentally breaking out of an app. Useful also for people streaming from their phones
Ever needed to hand your phone to a kid? Even if you don’t want to, sometimes you’re trying to keep them quiet at a restaurant, or calm them down at the doctor’s. But handing over an unlocked phone is just asking for the kid to delete all your home screen shortcuts (or, worse, work emails). Fortunately there’s a way to fix this.

I should try this the next time someone asks to use my phone :P
Tina: My phone is broken. Can I use yours to make a call? Wally: Absolutely. If it seems warm, that’s because I was using it in the men’s room for the past two hours. Tina: I’ll ask someone else. Wally: Yup.

How to trust no-one in the deep dark world of space — kinda also reflects real life.
I need to figure out how to play this game properly (I have it on Steam and like the graphics, but the controls are really frustrating….)
“Smiling Dog Crew” shows how you should never let a wolf guard your chickens.
