I have four weeks left of my training – well, 3 1/2, actually. On the last week, I’m going to take an extra day off, and then do a 21K run. This week, 17.2K, next week 17.4K, week after that, 19.8K, week after that (final week), 21K.
Of course, this assumes I don’t have to cancel due to bad weather….
It was really strange last night. I was lying in bed, trying to sleep, and my thoughts drifted towards my late Grandmother and for some reason, I started tearing up.
I’m not usually one for drama movies or tearjerkers, but, being of South-East Asia heritage myself, I really had to watch this one. A really touching story with cruel twists and may coincidences. Whether some of them were “enhanced” for the Hollywood portrayal of the story or not, I don’t know, but this is one story I enjoyed and one I would recommend you watch, but I do have to say, if you’re easily traumatised, or don’t like the look of wounds, then probably skip this one – it doesn’t hold back.

Must be monsoon season — I’ve had to skip several runs recently due to heavy rain…. -_-
I watched Quartet last night over Google Movies and was moderately pleased with it. It’s not often you get a classical music-themed movie with lots of professional singers and players.
The movie felt a little jumpy and slightly disjointed for my liking. To be fair all the actors and actresses seemed to be enjoying themselves and there were plenty of funny moments. The whole movie centered on the “Quartet” who previously performed Rigoletto together and have been reunited in time for a Charity Gala to save their retirement home from closing.

They claim not to be husband and wife, but they sure as hell act like one. ^_^
