A bin lorry driver has spoken about the struggle he has faced after he collapsed at the wheel killing six people in Glasgow city centre.

Harry Clarke, 58, says he thinks about the victims of the fatal crash every day since the incident just before Christmas.

He fell unconscious at the wheel as a result of an undiagnosed heart problem and his disposal truck hurtled along the street, hitting numerous pedestrians.

Mr Clarke told the Daily Record: ‘I know going forward that won’t help the families, but I just want all the families of injured or deceased victims to know I can’t remember anything – I wish I could but I was unconscious.
