Blender V2.67a released. Go download :)
Tried a different route today, and comfortably increased my pace, but as a consequence, spent more time above the blue zone so miCoach penalised me for that and scored me at 70%.
My current Half Marathon training plan finishes July 10th. By then, I should hopefully be able to run (or at least jog) 1 hour 40 minutes. At my usual pace of 6 minutes/KM, this should get me 17 KM. Half Marathon distance is 20 KM, so if I can do this, my next trial is to get the last 3KM.
Okay, can’t argue with this…. :P
*smacks head against table*
I was cleaning up some of my runs off Zombie Link (the web site for Zombies, Run), and it seems like I've deleted one of my completion runs for the first run of Season 2, so I'm now going to have to run it again. I've run that run several times already, and I don't mind running it again, but it does mean I won't get as many materials out of it this time, as a result of the update to the ZR app.
I guess I could always wipe my S1M1 runs of ZL, wipe my installation cache from my ZR app and resync, but then I'd have to redownload all the missions....
Not sure if I’ve posted this before and can’t be bothered to check right now :P
My, my, my, it’s been such a long time since I did anything on Blender, and it’s been a long time since I was reading off my Kindle app. Well, I’m going to pick up again, and although the books I have are primarily based on Blender 2.4x, at least I can use them to learn the basics.
I have a lot of material to cover either way…
Quite a shocking revelation in today’s ZR track
Knowing that DRM works fine on Debian means I can happily rent and purchase movies off Google Play. My first rental was Dante’s Inferno and animated retelling of the game of the same name, which itself is a retelling of the poem. Different animation studios animated different chapters of the story which both added to and hindered the story. For example, Virgil was ghostly in one chapter, but appear almost human in another.
The second purchase was an actual purchase (not rental), but only because Play did not offer a rental for this title. The movie is Legend of the Millenium Dragon - one of the few anime titles on Play that is in Japanese and not dubbed. This one was an interesting watch, touching on topics related to war, prejudice and magic.
A couple of days this week were missed due to weather and O/T at work, but still managed to get a reasonable score today.
The latest update to Google Play Music has really annoyed me. Nothing due to the interface (I’m fine with that), but it Force Closes every few minutes, and I keep getting the message ever y 5-10 minutes as it tries to sync so I’ve uninstalled it. But obviously this means I no longer have access to my Google Music library.
Not exactly true.
Using a tool released on XDA Developers, called GMusicFS (Google Music Filesystem), you can actually use any other player (WinAMP, PowerAMP, Rocket Player) to play your Google Music, because GMusicFS turns a directory on your SD Card into a pseudo-library, which is actually the Google Music library.
It seems to work, but does require a rooted device.
Here’s the link if you want to try it out yourself:

I’ve decided to try and trace my family tree and maybe leave something for my family when I die. So far, I’ve skeleton-ed out most of my father’s side of the family, and now I’m doing my mother’s side. It’s actually quite shocking when you start putting the pieces together. The tree is getting REALLY huge on just two generations…

Another day of torrential downpour so another missed run. I guess I could run in it, but I’d rather not catch a cold - we’re already stretched at the office as it is…

The average Hollywood movie lasts from 1 to 2 hours. Splice together all the cutscenes from Ashura’s Wrath and you get nearly 5 HOURS. And if you consider the work involved in voice acting and the number of decisions a player can make, I think, personally that in games such as AW which have extensive CG and cutscenes, the VA cast deserves a lot of respect.
Also, it’s interesting when you do a bit of research and find out what other character’s the VAs do. Ashura, for example, also voiced Sado from Bleach, Elfman from Fairy Tail and Guile from SFIV.
Yasha also voiced Grimmjow in Bleach, Freed in Fairy Tail, Vega (Balrog) in SFIV, Archer in Fate/Stay Night, Escher in Chaos Rings (which I played to death on my TF101), and surprisingly (and creepily), he also voiced Undertaker from Kuroshitsuji.
Notice something? The main two characters both voiced characters from Bleach, Fairy Tail and SFIV.
This run felt pretty good. I touched Yellow again, and pretty much stayed in Green the whole time I needed to be. My average speed went below 7 minutes for the first time in a while, but the blue zones at the start and end always skew the average pace.
Endomondo (which I use in conjunction with miCoach) told me my fastest KM was between approximately 1.25KM into the run and 2.25KM into the run, and that was in 5min 20secs/KM. Still a way to go to beat my Personal Best of 4min 44secs/KM.
This is a joke. Hope this doesn’t happen when I eventually run a marathon….
